Kao dete uopšte nisam dobro podnosila putovanje. Gotovo svaki put bih dobijala mučninu i obavezno bih povraćala. Iza toga bi mi nekako bilo bolje, jedino bi mi ostajao gorak ukus u ustima. I on je posle nekog vremena gubio na snazi i ja bih ostavljala svu težinu sećanja iza sebe, dok bi moj pogled i težnje sezale napred. A onde bih uvek videla nešto lepo i dobro! To ne znači da sve što je predstojalo liči na bajku, ali znači da posle olujnog vremena vazduh je pročišćen i zrači pozitivno. Da i posle kiše i oblačine, biće i sunca, da i nakon snežne mećave, vetar razduva oblake i pojavi se mesec i zemaljska perspektiva se ogrne plaštom zvezdanog neba.
Putovanje koje je izmenilo moju dečiju perspektivu bilo je na relaciji Srbija, tranzit Madjarska, odredište Austrija, prestonica i nazad. Iz mog rodnog mesta smo krenuli kombijem. To je bilo putovanje bez pratnje roditelja i bilo kog od meni poznatih. Onde su me sačekali rodjaci koji su stanovali u sedmom bicirku. Saopstili su mi da je onde tako uredjeno da nema kvartova ili ma(ha)la kao kod nas, već je sve u vidu kruga (nem. cirk). To me je asociralo na one “njihove” koncentracione logore, iako mi nije bilo jasno zašto?! Moj boravak onde je trajao oko tri sedmice, iako je bilo planirano da traje duže. Skraćen je zbog pogoršane situacije u zemlji koju sam napustila.
Kako smo boravili u nekim “starim” zgradama u kojima nije bilo kupatila u okviru stana, već je postao umivaonik u hodniku i zajednički ve ce za stanare na našem spratu, tako sam jedne pozne večeri morala da izadjem zbog menstruacije i uz put sam srela neku stariju gospodju koja se penjala stepenicama i ona me otpozdravila Kris(†) Kot, što je značilo Hrist je Gospod (ili Pomaže Bog). Potvrdila sam (Bog ti pomogo).
Zatim nas je (mene i moju sestru) teča Dača poveo jednog sunčanog, izuzetno vrelog dana, na kupanje i sunčanje kraj Dunava. On se tako zaneo u pripremi ribe i pijuckanju piva da je totalno zaboravio da smo mi maloletnice (14 i 17.godina) i da treba da pazi na nas. The outcome was deadly. Thousands of people are estimated to have lost their lives, according to a first-of-its-kind rapid analysis study published Wednesday.
A team of researchers, led by Imperial College London and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, looked at 10 days of extreme heat between June 23 and July 2 across 12 European cities, including London, Paris, Athens, Madrid and Rome.
They used historical weather data to calculate how intense the heat would have been if humans had not burned fossil fuels and warmed the world by 1.3 degrees Celsius. They found climate change made Europe’s heat wave 1 to 4 degrees Celsius (1.8 to 7.2 Fahrenheit) hotter.
The scientists then used research on the relationship between heat and daily deaths to estimate how many people lost their lives.
They found approximately 2,300 people died during ten days of heat across the 12 cities, around 1,500 more than would have died in a world without climate change. In other words, global heating was responsible for 65% of the total death toll.
“The results show how relatively small increases in the hottest temperatures can trigger huge surges in death,” the study authors wrote.
Heat has a particularly pernicious impact on people with underlying health conditions, such as heart disease, diabetes and respiratory problems.
People over 65 years old were most affected, accounting for 88% of the excess deaths, according to the analysis. But heat can be deadly for anyone. Nearly 200 of the estimated deaths across the 12 cities were among those aged 20 to 65.
Climate change was responsible for the vast majority of heat deaths in some cities. In Madrid, it accounted for about 90% of estimated heat wave deaths, the analysis found.
